FAQ: how to track my podcast usage and downloads statistics?
The most straightforward way to track the downloads of your podcast episodes is the use of a software of graphical log analysis, such as Awstats, which comes usually pre-installed by most of the hosting providers and available to the customers via Control Panel.
In case you don't have access to neither the server logs nor log analysis tools, you can follow the official Technical Specifications for podcasts by Apple, where you'll find alternative ways to track the number of times that each episode has been downloaded.
However, some podcasters prefer to use third-party services such as Feedburner or Podtrac. In this case, you will have to replace the default RSS feed created by Podcast Generator with the new URL provided by these services. To do so, follow these simple instructions.
